ECOART Landscape Expands the Use of Cork-Based Paving in Public Outdoor Spaces in Korea

Cork-based paving has been applied to walking paths, parks and recreational areas as an alternative surface material for outdoor environments.

ECOART Landscape Co., Ltd., a South Korean landscape construction company established in 2009, has been working with cork-based paving through its ECOCORK product line as part of its landscape construction and material development activities.

Cork is traditionally known for applications such as bottle stoppers, flooring and insulation. In landscape construction, processed cork chips can also be used as a surface material in areas such as pedestrian paths and recreational spaces.

ECOART Landscape has also continued work related to the standardization and development of cork paving materials. The company registered a Korean patent related to cork flooring material technology in 2023 and obtained Korean KS certification for ECOCORK in 2024.
